Nid Sweater
Pattern: Nid Sweater by Rui Yamamuro
Start Date: August 2, 2026
Size: 4 (going for very oversized!)
Yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino in Poppy Blue held with Knitting for Olive Silk Mohair in Poppy Blue
Notes: Curious to see if my guestimations for yarn amounts work out. I have stayed true to the pattern aside from adding length via 12 rows to the bottom cable pattern, and knit the hem only to 2.5β vs. the 2.75β it called for (I like the look better). I also plan to knit the sleeve hems to 2.5β instead of 4β. I will also likely figure out a way to do more frequent decreases to taper the sleeve a little more than it calls for - the starting point with the armhole is VERY large.
